Our first “real” trip away from home.

we’ll be gone from August 31 through September 3rd. A labor day vacation.

Got a bit of a late start… got on the road around noon. We got some rain, some heavy rain, on the drive here. Arrived about 4 and had a damp setup, did not set up the patio as there was more rain expected.

But we did get set up quickly, had a nice dinner of Terry’s enchiladas, relaxed a little then off to bed.

Much better sleep with the mattress topper.

Today we saw more rain in the morning, so watched a few games inside.

But things cleared up in time to grill some dogs and watch the ‘Bama game…

After a vocal “Roll Tide” to the golf cart flying the huge LSU flag, we met a nice couple with a couple small fur babies and discussed the pet fence we have up for the puppies.

and now off to finish a relaxing day of doing nothing (well, except the 3 hours spent working on a server migration))
